Much of its origin is shrouded in mystery, but it is thought to be a powerful charm used by Viking warriors to confer physical protection on the bearer, as well as to strike terror into one's enemies. Little wonder, then, that this symbol still enjoys tremendous popularity among heathen folk. The design measures 182 stitches wide by 182 stitches high.
