Description
I designed this necklace around the unique, antique silver, metal peacock pendant that forms its focal point. Using hand-dyed thread that is colored in reds with multicolor highlights, I crocheted a meandering ruffle all along the spiral curve of the pendant. Very tiny, iridescent, metallic pewter, glass beads are stitched along the edge and provide a subtle shimmer and reflection. The pendant hangs from a silver metal bail that is attached to a silver chain -- adjustable from 24 to 27 inches in length. It closes with a lobster clasp.
The pendant is about 1 3/4 inches in diameter and it hangs from the chain to a length of about 2 1/2 inches (including the bail).
