Hugs & Kisses Fluted Bowl - Dish

This plate / bowl is a work horse! Doubling as both a plate and a bowl! Small but functional great for serving sauces, candy, holding your earrings, cat treat dish/bowl, soup, etc, the uses are endless! This piece was hand made by me using a plaster mold. I made the prototype from solid clay to create and form the plaster mold. Liquid porcelain tinted gray fills the mold until the plaster sucks the water from the porcelain and creates the walls of the piece. Once the piece is stiff enough to hold its own form, I remove it from the mold and apply the feet. The piece is bisque fired and then glazed in my signature soft translucent clear glaze, providing the piece with a soft dewy surface. The XOXO is my signature and is applied in the final firing using hand-made silk screened decals that create a lovely purple iridescence! Microwave and Dishwasher safe, but to keep the iridescence (hugs and kisses) bright, hand washing is recommended. 5- 1/4” in Dia. X 1- 1/4"” tall.
