Description
To create this one-of-a-kind flower pendant, I began this piece with a small, silver, pierced metal disk to which I applied an olive patina. I then used white linen thread to crochet the petals around the edge of the disk and hand painted the petals, shading them with a beautiful, sky blue textile paint. A pale blue cotton thread was used to embroider a chain stitch to embelish the center and a brilliant blue, faceted glass bead was added. A blue glass leaf hangs with the pendant from an antique silver bail. The 24 inch, matte antique silver chain closes with a spring ring clasp.
The pendant hangs from the chain to a length of 2 1/4 inches and is about 1 3/4 inches across.
