By signing up to volunteer for the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, all volunteers agree to the following terms and conditions:
Commitment & Attendance:
Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for their assigned shift(s) and remain for the full duration unless otherwise arranged with the event coordinator.
Check-In:
All volunteers must check in at the designated Volunteer Station upon arrival and check out when their shift ends.
Conduct:
Volunteers must behave in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner. This is a family-friendly event, and all actions, language, and attire should reflect that.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will be assigned specific tasks, which may include assisting guests, managing lines, distributing materials, supporting event staff, and other duties as needed. Flexibility is appreciated.
Training & Supervision:
Volunteers may be required to attend a brief orientation or training session. Some roles will be supervised by event staff or team leaders.
Dress Code:
Volunteers should dress appropriately for cold weather and wear comfortable shoes. Holiday-themed attire (e.g., Santa hats, elf ears) is encouraged but optional.
Age Requirements:
Volunteers under 18 must have parental/guardian consent and may be required to be accompanied by an adult, depending on their assigned task.
Liability:
Volunteers participate at their own risk. The event organizers are not responsible for lost or damaged items or any injuries that may occur during volunteer activities.
Cancellations:
If you are unable to attend your scheduled shift, please notify the volunteer coordinator at least 48 hours in advance so we can find a replacement.
Media Release:
By volunteering, you grant permission for your name, likeness, and image to be used in event-related promotional materials, including photos and video.
Zero Tolerance Policy:
Any behavior deemed inappropriate or disruptive (e.g., harassment, intoxication, insubordination) will result in immediate dismissal from volunteer duties.
