ARPCS Applications

The film permitting process begins when a completed online application and associated permits are submitted. The film review process can take up to five (5) days; however, depending on the details of your production, the process may take longer.

If your film project occurs at a location that contains any of the items listed below, a meeting will be required with the event committee which may add another 5-10 business days for processing:

1) Film prep, filming and clean up lasting more than 3 days

2) Large outdoor production set ups

3) Full and/or partial lane/street closures

4) Stunts requiring sub-permits

5) Requested variances to any City of Alpharetta Ordinance

One film permit can cover up to three film sites over the course of two weeks or one location for a maximum of 7 days. Fees will only be taken once the permit is approved.

Please note that contact information provided in this application will be shared with the Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau to assist with cast or crew accommodations.

The City of Alpharetta's Formal Garden, is a beautiful outdoor courtyard available for private event rental requests.

The 85 x 38' grass field and 6' peripheral walking path sits between Alpharetta City Hall and the Alpharetta Library and is enclosed by a waist-high brick wall. The small park space also includes two fountains, and four park benches in its normal configuration.

The Formal Garden is a pleasant venue for small wedding ceremonies intimate gatherings of up to 75 people. Reservations are only open to Alpharetta tax-based residents and may be reserved no more than 90 days in advance of the requested date.
