Welcome to THEMATA! Browse through our application and let us know if you have any questions.This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booth, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.
 
IF YOUR WORK IS ACCEPTED, YOU  WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FOR TWO - THREE DATES. 
PLEASE ONLY SELECT THE DATES YOU ARE AVAILABLE FOR. 
 
Categories:Artists may apply in up to 3 categories. You must submit a separate application for each category.If you sell jewelry, you may apply in a category other than Jewelry if jewelry is less than 10% of your items for sale. Otherwise, you must apply in Jewelry. All work displayed in the booth must be for sale.
  • Clay: Original clay and porcelain work, functional or sculptural.
  • Fiber: Includes wearable and non-wearable. No machine-tooled, machine-screen printing, or other forms of mass production are accepted.
  • Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes are permitted.
  • Jewelry: Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry. Items made from commercial parts may not be exhibited.
  • Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal. No jewelry will be accepted in this category.
  • Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece.
  • Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments.
  • Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature.
  • Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. Only artist’s original source material is acceptable.
  • Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered.
  • Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium.
  • Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Reproduction prints are not allowed.
  • Wood: Original works that are hand tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.

  1. MARKET IS OUTDOORS . A TENT AND WEIGHTS FOR YOUR TENT ARE REQUIRED. 
  2. Space is 10' x 10' 
  3. Set-Up is morning of from 7A-9A.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
With submission of my fee (after being notified of your approval) I agree to the following terms & conditions:

APPLICATION FEE
The non-refundable application fee is $10 and $85 booth fee that is automatically deducted upon your acceptance. 
 
VENDOR RESPONSIBILITY
* Applicant hereby agrees to assume all risks and responsibilities for accidents, injuries or damages to person or property and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless THEMATA and their directors, board members, volunteers, show sponsors, and  Shop Peppermint LLC and the Culver Rd Armory, against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, theft, damage, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from or in connection with Applicant’s participation in the show or from Applicant's activities conducted upon the festival property. 

* Applicant is charged with knowledge of all laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to health, fire prevention and public safety while participating in the show.

* The event is held rain or shine but may be cancelled due to ongoing public health and safety concerns.

* Any changes should be discussed with the Event Coordinator prior to the festival for approval.

* Any Applicant not in compliance with the above policies understands they may be asked to leave and may not be invited back to future events.

* Only approved, handcrafted items (made by the seller) may be sold at THEMATA.  

* Participant's booths must remain standing and occupied for the entirely of the festival (until 4pm). Until 5p on July 15 if accepted. 
*Vendor is responsible for all chairs, tables & other display 
materials as needed by them to showcase the wares. 

PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Photographs/videos are occasionally taken of participants of activities and events and of visitors to the festival. These photographs/videos are used to promote THEMATA in future printed materials and a variety of other publications, including social media.

Prices

Application fees $10 Non-refundable There is a $10 non-refundable application fee which is charged upon application. Adjudicating the open call for THEMATA is a huge task for the curators as we receive over 350 submissions. This year's fee helps to compensate the curators for their time spent reviewing and thoroughly considering each submission and will cover the cost of EVENTENY, a platform which will streamline the process of collecting and reviewing each application.
THEMATA Summer Booth $85 Non-refundable Single booth space is 10 feet wide and 10 feet deep. Booth Fee is charged upon acceptance. There are no double booths. You are not allowed to share a booth. BOOTH FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE.
