Pride in the Park Chicago 2023 Rules & Regulations
Contract Terms: CRSEM, LLC (hereinafter “SEM”) hereby shall have the right to terminate, cancel or void any and all contracts or agreements at any time for the good of the festival, or in conjunction with the authorized representatives of Dreambrite (hereinafter “The Committee”). Any cancellation by SEM or the Committee shall only be refunded if any and all rules and regulations have been followed. In the event that the cancellation, termination or voiding for cause such as but not limited to failure to provide the appropriate licenses or permits or creating a disturbance or dangerous condition for SEM and or Dreambrite, other vendors or the participants of the event will not be entitled to a refund. SEM or Dreambrite in their sole discretion determine whether cause exists.
Water: Running water will not be provided on site. Vendors are required to provide their own water.
Electricity: Vendors are required to obtain electricity through only authorized service providers, subject to SEM’s sole discretion. Vendors are not permitted to utilize portable generators or car batteries within your booth, without SEM’s prior consent. All electricity on site, if requested in advance and paid for, is portable and provided by a third-party supplier. Any service disruptions and/or blackouts from electricity provided by SEM or its designated vendor will not result in a rebate or refund.
Music: This event STRICTLY prohibits the playing of recorded or live music in your booth.
Tents: Tents must be secured by sufficient weights to prevent tents from blowing away from weather conditions. SEM in its sole discretion shall determine whether the tents are secured properly based upon the conditions. SEM can order a Vendor/Merchant to remove their tent until such time as it can be made safe. Any damage to property made in an effort to secure the tent to the ground will be the sole responsibility and cost to repair to any vendor or merchant whose tent or property caused the damage. Violators will be subject to the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District and/or State of Illinois fines and penalties, including space cancellation at the event.
Set-up and Tear-down: Each participant is responsible for setup, take down and clean-up of their booth space. Vehicles are allowed on the street or designated paved paths ONLY for setup prior to the event and tear down once the festival closes. Please note that you will be subject to a minimum $500 fine for any damage you incurred to the Park District property, fine based on the extent of the damage. You will be notified by SEM or event security once SEM determines in its sole discretion when it is safe to bring your vehicle on the street or designated path. Unless otherwise noted, parking is not provided to any exhibitor, but may be available in certain limited circumstances. Where available an additional fee will be charged but only if arranged prior to the event. SEM will use its best efforts to attempt to get the load-in/set-up times will be provided to you by email the week of the event. You must remove your vehicle immediately after unloading your merchandise. You are allotted 2 hours from closing time of the event to vacate your booth space after the event.
No Show Policy: Participants who have not checked-in by 12:00 PM on the day of the event, will be considered a “no-show.” No Show participants/artist will NOT be eligible for refunds and assigned booth space will be forfeited. In the event a participant fails to timely show that space can be given to a wait-list participant.
Trash Disposal: Each space must be left clean throughout the event and each night. Trash receptacles and bags will not be provided, this is your responsibility. The participant will be subject to additional fees if your space is not maintained as is required. Should SEM need to clean the space to keep it in proper condition additional fees will be required.
Indemnification: Neither Dreambrite nor SEM, its employees, festival service providers, or any participating sponsors will NOT be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur to the participant (artist or food vendor), any of the participant’s employees or any property prior to, during or after the period covered by the participation exhibitor contract. This signed contract states that you agree to the terms and indemnify all parties working and producing the event from any and all liabilities or claims resulting from participants fault or negligence.
Booth Space: Each vendor must use only the space that they are granted. If a dispute arises about the booth space, SEM or Dreambrite shall in their sole discretion determine any space issues. Sidewalks must be left unobstructed at all times. It is strictly prohibited to store items on the sidewalk across or adjacent to your booth. SEM reserves the right to relocate a participating artist/restaurant when necessary even after a space has been assigned, in conjunction with the approval of the festival committee.The sale of THC products are strictly prohibited.
Third Party Vendors: You cannot resell or lease any space to a 3rd party to participate in the event in your booth, without SEM’s prior written consent.
Event Hours: All vendors must remain open during all festival hours.
