About the application

34th Fine Art & Fine Craft Exhibition and Sale
Sponsored by the Village of Schaumburg
To be held on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28, 2023
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day on the Municipal Center grounds. A maximum of 120 artists, 6 food trucks, 4 food vendors, 3 areas of entertainment, and 5-10,000 patrons attend.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Food & beverage sales to take place during both days of the festival (most food items will not be duplicated). No glass is allowed on the festival grounds; beverages must be served in cans or plastic bottles. We have swans and cygnets on-site at this time each year. Thus, for their safety, we are not allowed to sell popcorn or kettle corn at our Prairie Arts Festival.
  2. Vendors must provide their own self-contained food truck, food cart or tent that includes heating, cooling & serving equipment, and any necessary tables & chairs. Limited electricity is available. Any tent canopies used shall be securely weighted at each corner to withstand rainy or windy conditions. A 40 # minimum weight (unless the tent manufacturer’s specifications state otherwise) shall be secured to EACH tent leg.
  3. Vendors must provide a certificate of insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000/occurrence, $2,000,000/policy limit listing the Village of Schaumburg as “additional insured” for General Liability. The Village of Schaumburg must be listed as the certificate holder with the correct address of 101 Schaumburg Ct., Schaumburg, IL 60193. Your insurance agent needs to include written proof of endorsement that includes the general liability policy number the endorsement corresponds to along with the certificate. This is a separate document from the certificate (language on the Acord 25 form used by insurance agents makes this necessary).
  4. Vendors need to provide a copy of their commissary report.
  5. All food services must meet Village of Schaumburg health codes. It is the responsibility of each accepted food truck vendor to contact Tom Wisniewski, Health Inspector in the Community Development Department at the Village of Schaumburg, 101 Schaumburg Ct., Schaumburg, IL 60193, at twisniewski@schaumburg.com and 847-923-3709 or Sharrita Vantrece, svantrece@schaumburg.com and 847-923-3823.
  6. The Village of Schaumburg is not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise or equipment.
  7. A minimum 4A-60BC fire extinguisher must be provided by vendors who are cooking with grills or other appliances. In addition, a Class K fire extinguisher must be provided by vendors using deep fryers. Food trucks provided with a kitchen suppression system must have a current inspection tag for the system. All LPG tanks must be secured and located away from the cooking appliances. Any electrical cords exposed to the elements must be rated appropriately.
