Not only will the students have access to the Scholastic Library, 25+ Independent Authors from around the United States. The Special Guest Authors include: R.L. Stine, Dav Pilkey, Max Brallier with more to come. R.L. Stine among other authors will be doing a reading session with the students.

What began as a 3-day literary pop culture experience soon gained enough interest and support from the RGV community and beyond to evolve into a 7-day literary extravaganza. The entirety of the convention will take place from February 20-26, 2023, and will be split into two parts: February 20-24 (Mon. – Fri.) will focus on students who will be transported to the convention from their campuses as a field trip geared towards giving students the opportunity to meet authors and writers. By providing these students a variety of guests, students will be able to meet famous names of some of their favorite books and many will also meet authors from their home of the Rio Grande Valley, both exemplifying and inspiring them to follow their own passions. The convention experience will emphasize the importance of reading and writing, and provide students an invaluable opportunity to meet so many authors and writers in one place. February 24-26 (Fri. – Sun.) will be the traditional convention open to the public; that weekend will continue featuring authors and literary guests as well as celebrity guests, live performances, and more. As these days will be open to the public, the people of South Texas communities will be able to meet authors, celebrity guests, and celebrate reading and writing in an engaging entertainment event
