About the event

Rated #7 Art Festival in the Nation and #1 in Florida by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the 23rd Annual Chain of Parks Art Festival is North Florida’s premiere outdoor fine art festival. Located in downtown Tallahassee along Park Avenue, the festival provides an opportunity for art lovers and artists to connect over the weekend. Expect to have a first-class, fun-filled outdoor cultural experience. View amazing, original, and one-of-a-kind works of art from 150 fine artists in a delightful Southern outdoor setting. Live entertainment will be available, along with local food trucks, chalk artists, and libations at our festival bar. The festival has expanded to offer new and exciting programs to bring the community unique fine art experiences such as FSU’s Opening Nights Special Presenting Artist event with artist John Ensor Parker and a birdhouse art installation competition in Downtown Tallahassee, all leading up to the festival weekend with Artists in the Park April 15-16, 2023!

About the application

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Chain of Parks Art Festival!

The Village is an area within the Festival that provides opportunities for community connections to an estimated 35-40,000+ enthusiastic visitors! The purpose of this area is to promote organizations that support the arts in our community. The Village incorporates Community Partners, Brand Ambassadors, Pop-Up Studios, and the historical Jacques Le Moyne Encampment, with fun foods, entertainment, and more!

Over the last few years, visitors have been able to interact with the festival's namesake, Jacques Le Moyne, the first known European artist to sketch native Florida, in a 1560s living history encampment featuring actor interpretations and activities by Theater With A Mission. We would like to expand this educational offering to include other local heritage groups to tell their story!

What Is this New Offering:
  • Located next to the Pop-up Studios (where organizations provide a children’s art activity and visually engaging booth), we will add several 10x10 white tents that are dedicated to sharing historical information about our region from different cultures.
  • Each tent should be decorated to represent your culture, offer educational materials, and an interactive activity of some kind.
  • You do not pay to participate so that you can provide staffing and supplies.
  • The festival provides a 10x10 white tent in the park, 2 tables, 4 chairs. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and visually appealing space.
  • You are allowed to promote your organization through interactions with the kids and their families, free handouts, and branded decor.
  • History is complicated, so please be mindful that your booth and talking points are informative and inclusive. We don't want anyone to walk away feeling attacked or discriminated against.
Your participation in the Festival provides the following benefits:
  • Outreach opportunities to estimated 35-40,000+ visitors to the festival interested in art
  • Listing in the Festival Program distributed to hotels, sponsors, and at the festival
  • Access to our “Behind the Scenes” refreshment area and 1 reserved Parking Pass
  • Digital festival postcard available for pre-show promotion
  • Marketing coverage and special features
Requirements to participate:
1.) As a participant, we agree to provide a no-charge art-themed/educational activity on both days of the two-day event and understand acceptance is based solely on the merit of our offering.

2.) To promote the Festival, we agree to ‘Like’ LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival on Facebook. We agree to create at least 4 posts on Facebook about participation in the festival and tag us using #ChainofParks.
