About the event

Rated #7 Art Festival in the Nation and #1 in Florida by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the 23rd Annual Chain of Parks Art Festival is North Florida’s premiere outdoor fine art festival. Located in downtown Tallahassee along Park Avenue, the festival provides an opportunity for art lovers and artists to connect over the weekend. Expect to have a first-class, fun-filled outdoor cultural experience. View amazing, original, and one-of-a-kind works of art from 150 fine artists in a delightful Southern outdoor setting. Live entertainment will be available, along with local food trucks, chalk artists, and libations at our festival bar. The festival has expanded to offer new and exciting programs to bring the community unique fine art experiences such as FSU’s Opening Nights Special Presenting Artist event with artist John Ensor Parker and a birdhouse art installation competition in Downtown Tallahassee, all leading up to the festival weekend with Artists in the Park April 15-16, 2023!

About the registration

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Chain of Parks Art Festival!

The estimated festival attendance is 35-40,000 enthusiastic visitors throughout the fun-filled weekend! Please note we are looking for a variety of vendors, and we want to provide balanced options for all attendees.

Important things to be aware of:
  • Previous (compliant) Chain of Parks Art Festival Food Vendors will get priority placement for 2023 to maintain consistency.
  • As a fine arts festival, we also tend to prioritize booths and trucks that have good curbside appeal and avoid set-ups that are more appropriate for a carnival.
  • We are looking for grab-and-go meals and snacks, not packaged food accessories (jars of honey/ jam, hot sauce, dog treats, etc.)
  • Chain of Parks Art Festival is now in its 7th year of Greening the Festival. As a food vendor, you are an important part of this initiative. All food vendors are required to comply with the “Food Vendor Green Initiative Agreement” in this application.
  • Feedback from our attendees is that they are not only looking for sweets but healthy options as well!
  • Smaller snack vendors will typically be spread throughout the festival footprint vs. in the main food court.
  • Space and power outlets are extremely limited downtown, so please select your space size carefully. The entire footprint of your food preparation and the serving area must fit within the space selected.
  • Since the City closes the roads on Friday, vendors must be able to arrive and set up on Friday, April 14, before the Festival opens Saturday morning. Rare exceptions are made for smaller vendors that do not require power.
  • The roads will be closed for the weekend, so your truck/ booth needs to remain overnight. Tallahassee Police Department will patrol all night.
  • WATER SERVICE: Fresh water is available for fill at a central water valve, but no water hookups are in the Park.
  • Bags of ice can be purchased at the festival (typically $7-8 per bag)
  • Quiet generators are welcome. Loud generators are not allowed.
  • Through the City, We have access to 20amp power (limited to 2 per vendor) and only two 50amp options. Vendors purchasing electricity will need to provide their own extension cords and multiple mats to cover cords in street.
  • No vendors are permitted to sell alcohol.

  • The following is required with your application:
1.) Detailed sketch or photos of your truck/ booth set-up
2.) Menu or list of food items to be sold

Terms & Conditions

Greening the Festival:
Chain of Parks Art Festival is now in its 7th year of Greening the Festival. The festival has partnered with Sustainable Tallahassee to continue Greening the Festival which will require your help as a food vendor to reduce food waste and waste generated from food and beverage containers.

The Greening the Festival initiative requires food vendors to comply with the following:
1.) You cannot use any Styrofoam containers. If we see Styrofoam coming from your booth/ truck, you may be subject to a $25 fee.
2.) Do not use plastic bags when serving food.
3.) If you have prepared food that is unsold at the end of the day on Saturday or Sunday, please package it so it can be picked up by local non-profits serving the unhoused folks in our community rather than throwing it away.
4.) Use the recycling bins and oil barrels located in the food vendor court for your use and convenience. There will also be composting options in the Behind The Scenes area.
5.) We highly recommend opting for bamboo or other biodegradable products.

We hope you will join us at the festival and in our effort to incorporate environmental considerations to minimize the festival’s negative impact on the environment.
