About the event

The Inaugural Charlotte Chalk Art Festival (CCAF2022) is a FREE, family-friendly two-day festival being held at 4237 Raleigh Street on October 8th and 9th from 11am and to 3pm each day. CCAF2022 features a fee-based street chalk art competition for ages 12 to 17 and 18+. Each category, including Youth Teams, will compete for Cash Prizes. Festival goers will watch a street chalk art gallery come to life while enjoying various music and performance offerings, patronizing our curated arts and crafts, and food and beverage vendors.

About the application

Perform on the Sugar Creek Arts Event Lawn Stage in front of the Charlotte Art League, one of our lead sponsors during the Charlotte Chalk Art Festival (CCAF) on October 1st or October 2nd. Our stage management team will provide sound, assistance on and off the stage, and appropriate guidance.
 
We're looking for Charlotte-area performers to take the stage for up to 30 minutes during the Charlotte Chalk Art Festival.
 
We are open to all types of performances with a family friendly vibe in mind.
 
CCAF2022 will take place outside at the Trailhead Building located at 4237 Raleigh Street, Charlotte, NC 28213. CCAF2022 is sponsored by Creative Canvas Productions, Charlotte Art League, Flywheel Group, Cluck Design, and The Spoke Easy.

Terms & Conditions

The Charlotte Chalk Art Festival committee reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
 
If accepted, you will be REQUIRED to sign a Performance Liability Form.
 
CCAF2022 is a two-day RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.
 
CCAF2022 committee reserves the right to CLOSE the festival on either day due to extreme weather or public safety concerns, without refund to vendor or payment to performers. We reserve the right to POSTPONE the festival prior to October 1st should there be an in advance warning of extreme weather, without refund or payment as appropriate. Should there be a POSTPONEMENT, the festival will be moved to October 8th and 9th and all approved performers will retain their performance slot if they are available or will be replaced with another performer as needed.
