Rules & Regulations
- Transaction Privilege Tax License (TPT)-required for all vendors
- Wireless lighting
- If you bring a tent it must be white. Branded tents will be considered
- Tents/canopies weighted with 40lbs per leg
- No booth sharing
- Only sell items that were juried in. If after you are accepted, you have a new product, please email the information and photo to events@downtowntempe.com for approval.
- Edible products must arrive onsite in completely sealed containers.
- Calling out and soliciting for customers.
- Treat each other, staff, and visitors with respect. Aggressive behavior is not tolerated.
By completing the application you agree to the above and to the following:
Permitted Age of Artists - All vendors must be 18 years or older.
Rain or Shine Event - Agree to be present despite weather conditions. Though rain is not common in the desert of Arizona, each participant is responsible for preparing their display to withstand weather fluctuations including rain and wind. You will not be refunded if you choose not to attend due to weather.
Only products juried in are allowed - If you want to add items from your original list, please email the Event Manager a week prior to the market. Items not juried are not permitted.
Unauthorized use of Licensed Images -If the artist is using images that are licensed, the artist must have proof of authorization from the original license holder. Artist will not be juried for the market if the artist fails to provide proof of authorization. The artist is juried in and is found using unauthorized images during the market, they will be asked to leave and not allowed to be part of future markets.
Disclosure of Licensed Image Sales - If artist has sold or licensed images of original work to commercial concerns and those images which will be displayed at the market, the artist must disclose that licensing through on-site public disclaimer signage stating that some of the images being presented have been licensed for reproduction and may be found for commercial sales as reproductions being sold at discounted prices.
Samples - All food samples must be in compliance with the regulations of the Maricopa County Health Department regarding such matters. All vendors giving samples must also provide waste container in a prominent place for public use.
Booth - If you choose to use a tent (which we recommend) it must be white and weighted with 40lb per leg.
Event Hours - Vendors shall remain set up and on site for the entirety of the event, regardless of supply of product. If a vendor breaks down and leaves the event site before the event is over, they risk not being accepted to future Downtown Tempe events.
Conduct – Vendors shall conduct themselves in a manner that is courteous to other vendors, market personnel, and the public. Behavior or actions which are criminal, threatening, abusive, or harassing, shall cause the vendor to be expelled immediately from the market.
On-Site Safety & Security – Applicants shall display all work at their own risk. The Fantasy of Lights Holiday Market and Downtown Tempe Foundation, Inc. are not responsible for damage, theft or loss of artwork or display furnishings. All participants are responsible for their own replacement, comprehensive and liability insurance. Applicants must obey all pertinent safety codes and laws, including but not limited to fire, safety and parking regulations. Canopy tents must be fire retardant. The Fantasy of Lights Holiday Market will take place rain or shine. Canopies / tents must be tied down with a minimum of 40 pounds of weight on each leg at all times.
The Downtown Tempe team reserves the right to remove vendors at their discretion
