Dedicated and separate areas for Fine Art and the Makers Market. $1,000 total Cash prizes for the Fine Art and Makers categories. Located in the parking lots next to and behind the First Presbyterian Church at 138 N Main Street, Liberty.

About the application

Welcome to Art on the Side located in beautiful Historic Downtown Liberty. We are excited to bring an art fair back to this wonderful place. We will be starting this year with 50 available booths and hope to grow each and every year. Event Date: Saturday, June 11th from 8am to 7pm. Set-up begins at 6:30am. Art on the Side will happen "rain or shine". Browse through our application and let us know if you have any questions. This is an electronic agreement and by completing the application, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically. Categories: Artists may apply in up to 3 categories. You must submit a separate application for each category. If you sell jewelry, you may apply in a category other than Jewelry if jewelry is less than 10% of your items for sale. Otherwise, you must apply in Jewelry. All work displayed in the booth must be for sale. Clay: Original work, functional or sculptural. Fiber: Includes wearable and non-wearable. No machine-tooled, machine-screen printing, or other forms of mass production are accepted. Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes are permitted. Jewelry: Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry. Items made from commercial parts may not be exhibited. Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal. Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece. Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments. Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature. Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. Only artist’s original source material and prints made from the original source are acceptable. Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered. Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium. Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Reproduction prints from original art is permitted. Wood: Original works that are hand tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.

Terms & Conditions

RULES AND REGULATIONS:The following rules and policies are provided to ensure fairness to all participating artists and to the buying public. Any failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the Fair. -All participants must be 18 years or older.-The artist must be present for the entire event from 8am to 7pm. -Work displayed on site will be consistent with the work shown in the digital images submitted - no work outside of your juried category will be allowed.-All work - in every category - must be the original work produced by the exhibiting artist.-Work which has been produced with commercially-acquired kits, commercial molds, commercial patterns, plans, prefabricated forms or other commercial methods is not permitted. Studios involved in volume production are not permitted to exhibit. SALES Art on the Side does not require an artist to pay any commissions. Each artist is responsible for collecting and paying Missouri sales tax. It is the responsibility of each artist to return payment to the Missouri Tax Revenue Service. BOOTH SPACES Each artist is provided a 10'X10' exhibition space, which is assigned by the Art on the Side Committee.. Participants are expected to bring their own weighted canopy, display booth, display racks and any booth support materials. Electricity is not provided for this show. INSURANCE: Accepted artists must have proof of event insurance. REFUNDS There are no refunds. This event is rain or shine.
