Calling all artists & makers! Join us for a celebration of all things Kansas City in the Power & Light District!! When: Friday, August 16th Where: Power & Light District Time: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Load-in: 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Load-out: 9:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Booth Fee: 10 x 10 space - $150 Art Garden KC has been invited to partner with Bizzy Benton (the original founder of 816 Day and creator of KC Where You At???) and Power & Light District to host the ULTIMATE 816 Day Experience!!

We will be selecting a row of 20-40 of our best artists & makers for this event - This invite is exclusive held for established vendors in the Art Garden KC vendor network!

- Application is open to handcrafted artisans & fine artists with an emphasis on Kansas City related items and urban/street art! All our vendors are welcome to apply, but handcrafted goods and KC-style art will have precedence in our selection.
- This is a highly-curated event. Vendors are selected based on their level of professionalism, experience, booth presentation, quality and product/service type. Make sure to include booth photos of your display, including your canopy or your application will be rejected.
- Vendors must provide their own 10x10 canopy, 20-30lb weights per leg, chairs, tables, tablecloths, and displays. (no electricity will be avaliable, vendors are encouraged to bring battery-operated lights for the last few hours of the event)
- For transparency regarding the higher than normal booth fee: $81.60 of each booth fee goes to the 816 Day organizers for event costs, the remaining portion goes to AGKC administrative, additional marketing and site operations.
- Expected attendance based on past 816 Day numbers and new marketing support from Power & Light, Visit KC and area partners - 10,000+
- Vendor selections will be made Aug 3rd-5th. Card is required to apply, but vendors will only be charged once approved to vend.

Join us in celebrating 816Day on Friday August 16th at the Power & Light District! 816Day is an annual event that honors the unique identity and rich cultural heritage of our beloved city, bringing together residents, businesses, and visitors in a day of unity, community, and celebration! - Local vendor market featuring artists & makers from Art Garden KC, KC Night Market & G.I.F.T! - KC's hottest music and entertainment on the KC LIVE stage! - Food truck alley! - Kid's zone with STEM activities and bounce houses! - Food/drink specials at PnL restaurants & bars! Free & open to the public! Hosted in partnership with Bizzy Benton of "KC Where You At" and the Power & Light District! Schedule: 10am - 9pm: Vendor Market 10am – 12pm: 816 Day Brunch Bash 12pm – 1pm: “Rep Your District” Mayor Lucas – 12pm commencement “Rep Your District” with City Council Officials 1pm-2pm: Chiefs Jackets/Coats Fashion Show 2pm-3pm: KC Sporting Clubs – Welcome and Photo Opps 3pm-5pm: Female DJ Set 5pm-6pm: Dance Battle Group 6pm-7pm: Back Alley Brass Band 7pm-8pm: Live Performances with House Band 8pm – 9pm: Live Block 2 Step Party 8:16pm: TOAST TO 816

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made via email (hello@artgardenkc.org) or Eventeny message platform at least 7 days prior to the date for which you are scheduled in order to receive a full refund.
Vendor presence required from start to close; emergency departures notify on-site AGKC Team.
This event takes place rain or shine.
- Cancellations made by 816 Day organizers + Power & Light due to severe weather conditions or other external limiting factors prior to event start will receive a full refund.

Product Limitations

Art must be tasteful with artistic merit. Displays of sexual acts are not permitted. If an item in your inventory is questionable - leave it at home. You may be asked to take down any merchandise that does not fit within event guidelines.
No unaltered trademarked, logo’d, or licensed images or products.
No manufactured or resell items.
No food, THC or alcohol products.

Property Damage

Art Garden Kansas City LLC and its contractors, agents or officials are hereby released from any responsibility or liability for loss or damage of merchandise or property while it is being displayed/stored in this location.
Vendors are responsible for their own personal liability and/or general liability insurance.
