Titanopsis calcarea 'Concrete Leaf' (Schwantes): Also known as the Jewel Plant, this wild-looking mesemb or mimicry plant grows in clumps with blue-green, club-shaped leaves. Its rocky habitats in South Africa and Namibia serve as camouflage, making it difficult to spot except when in bloom. In the fall and winter, it produces shiny, yellow to orange, daisy-like flowers with a honey scent that typically open in the evenings.
