Pinwheel Mug

This mug is from my newest series of quilting inspired mugs. These mugs came about in the early months of the pandemic when I couldn't bring myself to walk down the stairs to my basement to throw. I knew I needed a challenge to push me back to the wheel and centering and meditative work of clay, so I challenged myself to throw a different mug form and try new handles. I always took time these long days to look through quilt books and at my own family quilts for carving inspiration, and now here they are. I'm still exploring handles and nuances of the form and constantly drawing new quilt patterns before carving them. This mug holds 12 ounces and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
