Inspired by a winter hike after a freezing rain. I watched dozens of Meadowlarks that had hunkered down in the storm waking up and breaking out of their icy surroundings. This is a hand carved woodblock printed on a Mulberry based paper. After printing I hand color them with airbrush inks.
