Description
Original oil on canvas framed in "floating" whitewashed wooden frame to expose gallery wrap. Canvas size is 40" H x 60" W. My frames add 3" to the height/width dimensions of the canvas size. Framed dimensions are 43" H x 63" W. Dimensions noted below are for the shipping crate if shipping via FedEx. My dad built a beach cabin on the Bolivar Peninsula of Texas when I was 3. I spent every summer and more at the beach thereafter. Some of my favorite memories are of surfing in the Gulf of Mexico off of Mecom's Pier.

I paint in studio with oils on canvas from photographs I take as I travel the coastal South. I have such wonderful memories of growing up at the beach on the Bolivar Peninsula that I am particularly drawn to paint coastal birds, boats and landscapes near the shore. I was born and raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from our hometown university, Lamar University. After a career in advertising, I returned to my first love - painting.
