PROFILE
Myra Burg has been designing and producing site specific works of art since 1976, ranging in size from tabletop to airplane hangar for freestanding, wall mounted or aerial constructions. Soft luxurious fiber in a symphony of color is introduced to the crispness of the metals in past custom commissions, or stands alone in its simplicity of the cylindrical form, the Quiet Oboes. Ms. Burg provides innovative solutions for unusual site parameters.
Although a licensed and practicing architect in Southern California since 1984, Ms. Burg has shifted her practice almost exclusively to the design and installation of site-specific artworks, typically of unusual dinension for un- usual spaces. She has placed several hundred installations for private collections and public spaces in Japan, Australia, Israel, France, England, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada, and of course, throughout the United States. Her work is award winning, and of investment quality.
