Segmented Wood Bowl

This Handturned Segmented Wood Bowl is from my Classics Collection, which feature simple clean lines in classic forms made from mostly North Carolina Hardwoods and would make a wonderful focus art item on an entryway table or dining room table. The bowl would also be great as a unique wedding or anniversary gift as a hand crafted art item. This would make a treasured item in your home or a memorable, unique gift for someone special. I can be used as a focus item, but also can be used for dry items such as nuts and candy. Bowl Features The highlights of this bowl are the nice, simple lines of a medium sized bowl, made from Storm Damaged Walnut and Southern Magnolia. This classic design is called a tornado pattern of 12, ¾” thick segments. Details of the Bowl The bowl is made up of 84 individually cut pieces of wood. The bowl measures 10″ in diameter and is 5″ tall. The bowl is finished in several coats of hand rubbed Hi Gloss Lacquer. Care: This bowl be considered a fine art piece. As with any wood item care should be taken not to expose it to extreme humidity or temperature. The finish is very durable, and cleaning may be done with a damp cloth. Treated with care, this bowl should be an heirloom item that could be passed down to family. All of my work is signed by me, Serial Numbered and the species of wood recorded on the bottom.
