THE WOOD: Our War Hammers are made from locally sourced solid American Hickory. Through many years of testing, we have found hickory to be the superior American hardwood for sparring weapons. This protects the sword from weather and prolongs the life of your sword. Upon receiving your sword, it is a good idea to use a soft cloth to buff the wax into the wood.
