Over-the-guard fingering grip provides control while the rings protect your index finger. A Hollow Earth sword has weight and balance that closely approximates a metal sword. Through many years of testing, we have found hickory to be the superior American hardwood for sparring weapons. The pommel is made from Bubinga, a rich reddish brown wood. This protects the sword from weather and prolongs the life of your sword. Upon receiving your sword, it is a good idea to use a soft cloth to buff the wax into the wood.
