Frog Faerie

It’s been rumored that Marc the Frog Faerie was once actually picked up and held by a princess; but, she was called away for a dinner engagement before the kiss; and, left him, just sitting on a rock, as she skipped away to spend time with the neighboring village’s prince. Devastated, he jumped in the water and swam, and swam. He swam for hours. Some say it was because he was so saddened by the experience, some say it was because he was trying to drown himself — but really, it was because he truly loved the water! He was enjoying it so much that time simply stood still! And, hours later, as the sun dropped beneath the trees, and faded into the horizon, he stopped to think about the day’s turn of events. It occurred to him that had she, indeed, kissed him; and turned him into a prince; he probably wouldn’t have been as happy as he was just swimming in the cool sun kissed waters.
