Pleasant Journey

Original Price $150 Sale Price $127.50 ‘Pleasant Journey’ is a one-of-a-kind mixed media painting and part of the Scrapscapes Encore Collection, comprised of past work from my studio archives. Created in 2018 using found paper ephemera, acrylic paint and ink on heavy weight, acid free paper, the artwork measures approximately 4” x 4” and is professionally framed in black. The frame measures approximately 14” x 14” and is equipped with a sturdy wire for hanging. About the collection: I formally debuted my Scrapscape collection at ScrapFest in Old Town Lansing in 2019. Scrapfest is an incredible festival that celebrates eco-friendly, repurposed and sustainable art through an amazing scrap metal sculpture competition and a variety of artist booths showcasing eco-friendly artwork. My Scrapscapes are created from found paper ephemera, such as maps, book pages, brochures, any type of discarded paper scraps as well as scraps from other studio projects and special "paint pages" I create to use up excess paint left on my brushes and palettes after working in the studio. In most cases, the title of the Scrapscapes can be found hidden in the bits of text that show through layers of paint and other details. Additional Information Every effort has been made to present the colors in this artwork accurately. Please understand that different types of monitors/devices may interpret the colors slightly differently, especially in the case of fluorescent colors frequently found in this collection. Due to the ephemeral quality of many of the papers used and the variety of art media included, slight transformations in color and vibrancy should be expected over time as the materials age. To ensure the longevity of your Scrapscapes, I recommend they be displayed out of harsh direct sunlight. Your scrapscapes will come to you very carefully packaged.
