I have tabled at many different European conventions over the past two years and I can safely say I have never come across a more unorganised and unprofessional event as DCC. This is the first time I have ever seen the owner of a convention actively stalk his attendees and artists on social media for criticising his event instead of just simply taking the criticism on board and trying to improve the event. It seems like it’s hard for the owner, Karl, to see said criticism as anything other than a personal attack which is a shame as all of us really wanted to see this convention improve for the better. I would highly recommend avoiding this event if you can.

My partner and I have participated in DCC for multiple years in artist alley. It's clear the organiser doesn't like the artists or anyone who offered constructive feedback/criticism. Any feedback has been rejected, and taken as a personal attack. The organiser is unprofessional and is known for 'spying' on artists social media to see if they are criticising the event at all. All the artists wanted to participate in a wonderful event and work together, but it's clear the event is spiraling downward due to the childish stubborn actions of the organiser Karl. Please do better.

In a league of its own as the single most unpleasant and unprofessional business, (conventions and otherwise) that I've ever personally dealt with. That dozens of artists would willingly give up what has been an important event for their careers due to the worsening state of the event and horrendous treatment by the organizer should say it all. We all wanted to work *with* you so much. We all had the same goal, it was in our interests that the convention be a positive time for everyone, but you just couldn't stop being a martyr, couldnt resist being unnecessarily hostile and treating genuine constructive feedback as a personal attack. A genuine shame.

Incredibly unorganized and unprofessional environment with management that does not care to improve and instead goes out of their way to spite the artists and vendors who put money in their pockets. I would not in a million years recommend selling or even visiting this corporate trashbin of an event.
