Open Call for Educators – Jacksonville Placemaking School

PlacemakingJax is seeking dynamic, experienced educators to lead engaging sessions during our upcoming Fall 2025 program. We welcome thought leaders, practitioners, and professors working in placemaking, urbanism, design, community development, planning, and related fields to apply.

Key Details

• Location: Jacksonville, Florida

• Session Dates (Educators must be available for one):

  • November 4, 11, 18

  • December 2, 9, 16
    
    

• Compensation:

  • Travel and hotel accommodation covered

  • An honorarium will be provided

  • Printing costs covered for handout (see below)
    
    

• Session Requirements:

  • Educators will lead an in-person class varying in length of time depending on your proposed format/idea 

  • Each session must include a takeaway deliverable or handout for students (e.g., toolkit, guide, resource list, worksheet)

  • Please note there are up to 120 students in the school

1. Your resume

2. A video of you teaching, speaking, or presenting (link or upload)

3. A brief description of your proposed session, including:

   • What you will teach

   • The topic focus and relevance to placemaking

   • A description of the deliverable or handout students will receive

4. (Optional) Up to two sample articles, blog posts, or papers you have authored
