About the event

The 3rd Annual Rome Pride take place this year on June 28-30, 2024 in beautiful Rome, Georgia. Our full schedule is to be announced, but you can look forward to: Volunteer opportunities, meet and greet gatherings, and educational opportunities at PAM Studios with PFlag in downtown Rome. Our Kick Off Party with a live Drag Show on the evening of June 28th. June 29th is our March/Parade and main festival day. Enjoy live entertainment, a 100 + curated artisan and vendor market, food trucks, kids zone, and a whole lot of community love. On Sunday we host our annual Pride church service with a special guest speaker at Rome First, and our Drag Brunch at the Forrest Hotel Downtown. The Rome Georgia Pride Festival is a free admission LGBTQ+ pride festival that takes place in downtown Rome, Georgia. The festival provides a family-friendly and inclusive atmosphere in a small town setting. Rome Georgia Pride is the largest rural LGBTQ+ Pride event in North Georgia! More than 3,000 people attended in 2023. As a 100% volunteer-powered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization,Rome Georgia Pride relies on sponsors like you to help ensure that we can continue serving North Georgia with our admission-free, family-friendly events. Due to outgrowing our previous location, Rome Georgia Pride will be relocating to Ridge Ferry Park in 2024, the largest park in Rome, Georgia!

About the application

Thank you for your interest in submitting your artwork to our juried art show. This year’s theme is “Queer Joy!”
 
Participants are not required to be present or reside in Rome, Georgia, to take part in this Pride art show. Please submit a high-resolution photograph or digital file of your artwork.
 
While there are no restrictions on the medium used, you must categorize your artwork, provide its dimensions, and specify whether it is digital. For artists not located in Rome, we offer local printing services to display your digital pieces.
 
Artists must also submit a 500-word artist statement along with a brief paragraph describing their artwork.
 
Participants are welcome to interact with attendees near their work and engage in discussions about their art. Artists present at the event will be provided with one chair next to their artwork; however, staying with your piece is optional.
 
As a family-friendly event, we do not accept artwork containing explicit or adult content. Such submissions will not be considered for jurying or participation.
 
All participating artists are expected to uphold and embody the values of Rome Georgia Pride.
 
Please ensure that your submissions are appropriate for audiences under the age of 18.
 
Our Rome Pride 2024 Juried Art Show will follow new code mandates from the city. These codes are listed below under Terms.

Terms & Conditions

All artists, vendors, non-profits, and sponsors must read the following city codes and ensure their booth and merchandise are appropriate. 
All vendors must adhere to codes 11-830 and 23-301 for Rome Pride 2023. 
 
It is not the responsibility of the Rome Pride Board, the Rome Pride Vendor Committee or anyone representing Rome Pride such as volunteers, performers, vendors, other artists, or security to make sure an artists’ work is in compliance with these codes and ordinances. It is the responsibility of the vendor, food truck, concession seller, or non-profit to make sure that their products or materials are within the code. We have included the link to the codes for your review.
